Awan praises Baitul maal support to orphans
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan Tuesday stated that Pakistan Baitul Maal has fulfilled the dream of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto by helping orphans.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with Pakistan Baitul Maal-supported sweet homes, she stated that the helpless kids who have no parents are assets of the country.
They (orphans) can play important role in the nations future building if institutions and rich people take steps for their welfare, the minister added.
In this way we can remove their deprivation complex and can utilize their energies in national interest, Awan said.
She praised role of Pakistan Baitul Maal Managing Director Zamarud Khans in this connection and stated that Khan would not only be rewarded in this world but also in the world hereafter.
She stated that Bhutto was taking orphans and helpless kids as her own kids and wished for their development as well as education in accordance with the international standards. And now the incumbent government is fulfilling her dream through Baitul Maal, which has full support of the leadership, she concluded.
