Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is a platform / shooter video game for the PlayStation 3 console. A Crack in Time is the sequel to 2007′s Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and 2008′s Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty . This game is the final title in the Future trilogy. A Crack in Time has new gameplay mechanics, a prominant feature being time travel and time manipulation. Another new feature includes a non-linear navigation system, allowing players to explore different planets of their choosing, whenever they wish. Also a variety of new gadgets will be at players’ disposal, including hoverboots which enable characters move through levels quickly. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time has generally received positive reviews for being a masterful execution within the platform genre, but most concur it doesn’t offer gamers anything truly groundbreaking or innovative.
