Along with the Egyptian Theatre, Coos Bay councilors are talking about another city building — City Hall.

At Thursday’s meeting, they stated the building is not in an idealspot. They’d like to explore either moving elsewhere or modifyingthe building to reopen Central Avenue. But such a project would take years to plan, pay for andbuild. Instead, councilors informally concurred to move forward with a$1.5 million allow from Oregon’s Office of Emergency Services, togive the existing building a seismic upgrade.
