"Going Green" by The Master Gardeners Of Bergen County

Along with the Egyptian Theatre, Coos Bay councilors are talking about another city building — City Hall.

At Thursday’s meeting, they stated the building is not in an idealspot. They’d like to explore either moving elsewhere or modifyingthe building to reopen Central Avenue. But such a project would take years to plan, pay for andbuild. Instead, councilors informally concurred to move forward with a$1.5 million allow from Oregon’s Office of Emergency Services, togive the existing building a seismic upgrade.

Everything flies with Madbury Town Meeting voters

MADBURY — There was not a naysayer in the building Tuesday evening as residents voted to pass all warrant articles at their annual Town Meeting. Fewer than a hundred residents filled the Town Hall meeting room, raising no concern over any of the warrant items up for discussion. As there was no objections to any of the evening’s articles, it was smooth sailing and the meeting only lasted about an hour.
