Panel of experts to review flood protection measures

A PANEL of local and overseas experts has been appointed to conduct an in-depth review of all flood protection measures that will be implemented in Singapore over the next decade. It will assess the current drainage infrastructure, topography of flood prone areas, projected weather patterns, current and future building plans, information systems and potential new technological solutions.

Corcoran to review dust control process before assessing properties

The Corcoran City Council received the proposed dust control assessment calendar but wants more information before assessments. Chico neighborhood to be taken out of proposed Silverdale city boundaries

SILVERDALE —The group backing incorporation of Silverdale has decided to redraw its proposed city boundaries to exclude the Chico neighborhood. The change means the group must begin the incorporation process over again. The decision came after a May 12 Boundary Review Board meeting that was attended by about 200 people.

Speed bump review passes

BEREA — City government will conduct a review of speed bumps installed on streets to slow traffic with the goal of removing most of them as soon as possible, Mayor Jim Barnes stated as the city commission adopted an order Tuesday authorizing the move. The order calls for the city manager and the commission to jointly determine where speed bumps will be installed or taken out.
